VCF welcomes new 2025 Cardiac Surgical Fellow from China

Hi my name's Dr. Deng, I’m a cardiac surgeon from Fuwai Hospital in Beijing, China.

It's a great honour to receive funding from the Victor Chang Foundation to complete my surgical Fellowship training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

I come from one of the largest cardiac centres in China, but it’s the first time at St Vincent's Hospital and I have the opportunity to see total artificial heart, combined heart and lung transplantation and various new mechanical assist devices in action.

I hope to bring my experience and knowledge here back to China and share it with my colleagues.

I believe that in this era of rapid technological advancement, collaboration exchange between surgeons are crucial; they help us learn faster and improve together and allow our patients to live longer and better lives.

你好，我是鄧醫生，我是一名心臟外科醫生，來自阜外醫院，位於中國北京。

能夠獲得來自張任謙基金会的資助來完成我的外科專科培訓在聖文森特醫院在悉尼，這是一個巨大的榮譽。

我來自中國最大的心臟中心之一，但這是我第一次在聖文森特醫院，我有機會看到全 人工心臟、心肺聯合移植手術以及各種新型機械輔助裝置的應用。

我希望將我的經驗和知識帶回中國並與我的同事分享。

我相信在這個快速技術進步的時代，合作交流外科醫生之間的交流至關重要；它們幫 助我們更快地學習共同進步並讓我們的患者活得更長久、更健康。
